Join our Team as Flexo Finishing Press Operator!

Position Summary:

The Flexo Finishing Press Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining our ABG Digicon machine, ensuring the precise and high-quality finishing of custom labels for our clients. You will oversee key finishing processes, including laminating, foiling, varnishing, and die-cutting, while performing regular machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in digital printing and finishing, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality products that meet client specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the ABG Digicon machine to perform finishing processes such as laminating, foiling, varnishing, die-cutting, and embossing on printed labels.
  • Set up the Digicon machine according to job specifications, adjusting settings to ensure precise and high-quality output.
  • Utilize the ERP system to track down the production/downtime of the machine.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure all labels meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, material jams, or inconsistencies in label production.
  • Monitor production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Collaborate with prepress, HP operators, quality teams, and production teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the process.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.         
  • Technical certification in printing technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the printing or packaging industry.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control, ensuring that all finished products meet specifications and standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions during the production process.
