Job description

Track amp; Field Coach. Upper School
Specific to throws, jumps, hurdles.
Location: Greenwich Academy – Greenwich, CT
Job Type: Seasonal / Part-Time / stipend
Job Summary:
Greenwich Academy is seeking passionate and energetic athletics coaches to lead and inspire our student-athletes during their seasons. Coaches will guide students in skill development, game strategy, and teamwork, all while promoting a positive and inclusive athletic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead engaging practices focused on skill-building, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Teach sport rules, fundamentals, and strategies appropriate for middle school and/or upper school athletes
  • Create a safe, structured, and motivating environment for all players
  • Manage team logistics including game lineups and basic equipment oversight
  • Communicate regularly with players, families, and the Athletics Department
  • Supervise students during all team activities and ensure proper conduct
  • Represent Greenwich Academy positively in all interscholastic competitions

Qualifications:
  • Prior coaching or competitive sport specific experience (middle school level or higher preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic and patient with young athletes
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must pass background check and meet all Greenwich Academy employment requirements
