Position Summary
The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary,part-time faculty to teach 1000-2000 Level Biology Courses. This will bea continuous recruitment starting in Spring 2026 semester. The postingwill remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per semester.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, TheUniversity of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of TheUniversity of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the regionand is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis onteaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs,technical programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit courses to high schools inValencia and Socorro Counties. The faculty and staff serve a student bodyof over 2,000 students per semester.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's in Biology, or Master's in related field and 18 graduate credit hours in Biology.
  • One year experience teaching at a post-secondary institution

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD, ABD, or EdD in Biology or related field.
  • Experience and/or certification to teach online.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a post-secondary institution.
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
