Who we're looking for
Toyota's Accounts Payable Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Payment Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be at the intersection of vendor support and financial operations, helping to ensure payment transactions are accurate, suppliers are supported and that our internal processes run smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to build expertise within Toyota while making a real impact on the day-to-day experience of Toyota's suppliers.
Reporting to the Indirect Accounting Manager, the person in this role will support the department's objective by delivering accurate, timely and customer-focused financial services that strengthen relationships, support organization goals and promote collaboration across all areas of the business.
What you'll be doing
Work with department leadership to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to support timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Lead resolution research and respond to external and internal customer inquiries related to timing of payments or resolving non-payment issues or determine the correct invoice and PO match for accurate payment processing.
Upload or enter invoices to SAP, clear Global Netting transitions for manufacturing entities, process voids and reissue payments in SAP.
Research and resolve Ariba to SAP interface errors.
Work closely with PO owners and suppliers to resolve aged Ariba PO exceptions in vendor invoicing.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
3+ years of experience in Accounting, Accounts Payable or other experience related to finance
Prior experience analyzing large data sets and implementing process improvements
Ability to identify problems and create action plans for resolutions
Prior work experience involving respectful communication and strong customer service skills
Prior experience working well in a collaborative environment and independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel (ie: formulas, macros, pivot tables, etc)
Prior experience working with financial systems
Added bonus if you have
CPA or MBA
SAP S4 Hana knowledge or experience
Ariba knowledge or experience
Automobile industry experience
