Who we're looking for

Toyota Logistics Servicesis looking for a passionate and highly motivatedteam member to process and complete transportation damage claims.

The successful candidate will have the ability to organize, communicate, solve problems and perform a wide range of strategic activities supporting the Rail, Truck & Marine transportation teams

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain and update Toyota Logistics Services (TLS) Transportation claims policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current Toyota standards.

  • Collaborate with the TMS warranty team to keep TLS Transportation claims policies and procedures for dealers in Claims Processing System (CPS) up to date.

  • Work closely with Tokio Marine to ensure timely resolution and disposition of damage claims.

  • Facilitate coordination with business partners to achieve claims resolution within 90 days, with a stretch goal of 60 days or less.

  • Partner with the Highway Operations team to support Kaizen initiatives aimed at reducing damages and claims.

  • Collaborate with carriers to minimize outstanding receivables.

  • Ensure compliance by dealers and regional staff with Transportation claims policies, procedures, and the vehicle handling manual.

  • Coordinate with Vehicle Distribution Centers (VDCs) to complete Critical Damage Notifications (CDNs) promptly for accurate vehicle classification and disposition.

  • Align with Demand and Supply Management (DSM) to expedite the movement of vehicles, reducing dwell costs by directing Class 2 units to auction and Class 3 units to T-TEN or salvage.

  • Lead management of Act Of God (AOG) claims and large loss incidents in partnership with Tokio Marine, DSM, and regional teams.

  • Review and interpret damage reports from inspection companies, assigning liability to the appropriate business partner; analyze and distribute monthly quality KPI data.

  • Notify carriers of damage assignments and negotiate final resolutions for disputed claims.

  • Participate in truck and rail service reviews, providing quality performance feedback and strategic direction as needed.

  • Prepare and submit weekly claim invoices for approval and process through Fresh Desk; collaborate with Accounting and Finance to correct errors and ensure accurate adjustments.

  • Address dealer and regional escalations promptly, adhering strictly to TLS Transportation claims policies and procedures for claim dispositions.

  • Coordinate with rail quality analysts on derailment incidents, overseeing vehicle inspections and disposition decisions.

  • Monitor carrier damage KPI progress to ensure alignment with Hoshin objectives.

  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with TLS teams at headquarters and in the field, transportation business partners, and external service providers.

What you bring

  • 4-year college degree (supply chain or industrial engineering or business)

  • 2+ years of experience in automotive transportation and/or logistics

  • Expertise with Microsoft platform

  • Established Effective Project Management Skills

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
