What is a toxicology lab?

A toxicology lab is a specialized laboratory where scientists analyze biological samples such as blood, urine, or tissues to detect the presence of drugs, chemicals, poisons, or toxins. These labs play a crucial role in medical diagnostics, forensic investigations, workplace drug testing, and environmental monitoring. Toxicology labs use advanced scientific equipment and methods to accurately identify and quantify substances, helping inform medical treatment, legal proceedings, and safety regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a toxicology lab?

To excel in a Toxicology Lab, you need a solid background in chemistry, biology, or forensic science, often backed by a relevant degree or certification.
