With our company's diverse multi-product assortment across all home categories, we provide excellent offerings and service to our retail partners while responding quickly to the ever-changing needs of the marketplace.
The Director/Vice President of Sales, Costco is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to drive top-line growth and operating profit. The individual must be high performing with experience selling home textiles to leading omnichannel retailers. This is a leadership role that will require strong skills in Product and People Management. There is a strong preference for candidates who have current or prior experience with Costco.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve account and company financial objectives.
  • Identify categories, products, and brands that capitalize on white space opportunities to increase retailer penetration. Understand the nuances of merchandise mix.
  • Establish and monitor sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze POS data and market and competitor trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer across US, Canada, Mexico and International Regions.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Design, and Sourcing to build product solutions that fulfill consumer/retailer white space need.
  • Partner with Planning to develop accurate short and long-term forecasts.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor direct reports to drive performance and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in sales and business development.
  • Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the sales organization.
  • Embrace and embody company core values within daily work.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and build and execute effective sales strategies with a multi-year lens.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales processes, retailer dynamics, and market trends.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. Must be adept at retail math.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others. An ability to manage effectively up and down the organization.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong working knowledge of the Company's products, competitive products and the market is an asset. Focus of work will be Kitchen, Bath and Home Décor Products including Pillows and Throws.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in Sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior sales management position, including managing multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite beneficial.

Salary Description
