LEAD HR SYSTEMS & COMPENSATION ANALYST
The primary purpose of this position is to support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Hydrite's Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), reporting, analytics, compensation, and Total Rewards programs. This role ensures data integrity, provides reporting and analytical support, administers compensation programs, supports benefits and vendor analytics, and serves as a technical resource for HR systems and timekeeping. The Lead HR Systems & Compensation Analyst partners with HR leadership, payroll, finance, and business leaders to support data-driven decision making, process improvement, and an exceptional employee experience.
This position is based onsite at our Brookfield, WI headquarters 4-5 days/week. Relocation and/or sponsorship are not available for this role.
Primary responsibilities include:
HR Technology & Systems Management
  • Support the configuration, testing, deployment, upgrade, and ongoing administration of HR technology solutions (e.g., UKG).
  • Administer configuration activities related to periodic HCM events such as Open Enrollment, year-end processing, and new initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance internal HR portals and job aids to support system usability and training
  • Provide technical support and training to HR and business users
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and HR partners to align systems and processes
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Data Integrity & Reporting
  • Ensure data integrity through internal audits, validation, and reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze dashboards and workforce metrics related to headcount, turnover, recruiting, compensation, and compliance.
  • Identify trends and provide actionable insights to support HR and business decision-making.

Compensation Administration & Analytics
  • Support annual compensation programs, including merit, bonus, and off-cycle compensation processes.
  • Conduct compensation analyses, job evaluations, market pricing, and benchmarking activities.
  • Generate compensation reports and insights to support pay decisions, internal equity, and workforce planning.
  • Support maintenance of salary grades, job architecture, compensation structures, and related data within HR systems and compensation platforms.
  • Assist with compensation projects, salary structure reviews, and related analytics.

Benefits, Total Rewards & Vendor Analytics
  • Support the administration and continuous improvement of Hydrite's health & welfare, retirement, and wellness programs.
  • Analyze plan participation, utilization, cost, and employee feedback data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support Total Rewards strategy, budgeting, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with HR leadership and external vendors to evaluate program performance, market competitiveness, and emerging trends.
  • Support annual enrollment strategy, vendor management activities, and benefits-related communications.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Total Rewards initiatives that enhance employee experience and support organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a resource for benefits governance, compliance activities, audits, and regulatory reporting.

Payroll Support
  • Serve as a backup resource for payroll administration and related HRIS processes as needed including company time administrator
  • Support payroll operations through HRIS data maintenance, auditing, reporting, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with testing and validation of payroll-related system updates and changes

HR Functional Support
  • Support HR, benefits, and retirement administration through HRIS configuration, reporting, and data management
  • Support open enrollment, benefits audits, and employee inquiries
  • Support HR Managers and Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless and consistent employee and manager experience across the employee lifecycle

Compliance & Governance
  • Stay current on regulatory changes affecting HRIS, payroll, and time
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements
  • Participate in audits and support documentation for compliance reviews

REPORTING STRUCTURE
  • This position reports to the Benefits Manager.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, Compensation, Total Rewards, or related HR functions
  • Experience supporting Total Rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, retirement, and wellness initiatives, preferred.
  • Experience analyzing workforce, compensation, or benefits data and translating insights into recommendations preferred.
  • Experience partnering with external vendors, consultants, or benefit providers preferred.
  • Experience with UKG or similar HCM platform preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Power BI, Business Intelligence, MS Copilot and reporting tool experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
  • Ability to communicate technical and analytical information to both HR and business audiences
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive employee and compensation information

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
  • On-site presence required at Brookfield, WI corporate office
