Job Description:

The Associate Director, Total Rewards provides leadership and oversight for the University of Toledo's Total Rewards Team (which includes compensation, and leave administration). This position is responsible for the daily administration of compensation and classification including policy and procedure development. Responsibilities also include the supervision of daily activities of leave plan administration This position ensures that assigned total reward programs meet all legal requirements, works closely with internal/external customers to develop, and execute well defined short- and long-term strategies to attract, reward and retain top talent, and identify and participate in process re-design efforts to gain efficiencies, maintain internal equity, and increase customer satisfaction levels throughout the university.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Business degree or related field required. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Human Resources in compensation.
At least one year of Supervisory and leadership experience is required. 3 years of prior leadership experience supervising employees is preferred
Experience in other areas of HR such as recruitment and employee relations is preferred.
Proficient with analytical and statistical tools and PC programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written presentation skills include the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way and to tailor key messages and presentation style to multiple audiences.
Strong analytical skills and demonstration with clear and concise data and charts.
Resilient in response to leadership demands or emotional requests.
Goal oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment.
