Jam City is looking for a Total Rewards Generalist, located in our Los Angeles office. They will report to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards and People Ops, and be responsible for supporting the administration and execution of our global compensation and benefits programs. As a key partner in Total Rewards, you will play a hands-on role in benefits administration, leave management, and compensation support, ensuring our programs remain competitive, compliant, and effectively communicated to our employees. You will work closely with the People Team to provide exceptional service, drive process improvements, and maintain the integrity of our data across all offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
BENEFITS & LEAVE ADMINISTRATION
  • Collaborate with external providers and brokers to manage plan administration, lead the annual open enrollment process, and resolve complex employee inquiries

  • Process enrollment, status changes, and terminations, ensuring HRIS and carrier databases remain accurate and synchronized

  • Research usage, coverage, and competitive trends to analyze program efficacy and provide recommendations for enhancements

  • Lead the implementation of new benefits programs and modifications to existing plans

  • Partner with an external vendor to manage leaves of absence (LOA), overseeing eligibility, status tracking, and return-to-work coordination

  • Coordinate with HR Operations and Payroll to ensure accurate benefits enrollment, leave pay calculations, and time-off balances

  • Oversee benefits billing reconciliation to maintain operational excellence

COMPENSATION
  • Support job architecture, leveling, and the maintenance of salary structures to ensure global market competitiveness and internal equity

  • Assist with the annual compensation review process, including data collection, modeling, pay equity analysis, and bonus administration

  • Help communicate the company’s total rewards philosophy and contribute to internal compensation documentation

  • Conduct benchmarking and job evaluations to maintain competitive and equitable compensation packages

COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE
  • Ensure benefits compliance across all operating regions, maintaining expertise in ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ERISA, and relevant labor laws

  • Execute required regulatory filings (e.g., 5500, 1095-C) and perform non-discrimination testing.

  • Conduct regular audits of benefit programs to ensure regulatory adherence and data integrity

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration and compensation support or related functions within the US and Canada

  • Basic understanding of compensation principles, including job analysis and salary benchmarking

  • Previous experience in leave administration with strong knowledge of federal and state-specific leave laws

  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirement

  • Strong communication skills for effectively assisting employees with benefits and HR-related matters

  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to see matters through to resolution

  • Experience with benefits modules in HR systems, preferably Workday

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and proficiency in other Microsoft/Google applications (Docs, Slides, etc.)

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

  • A team player who can collaborate across departments to support company goals

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for this role.  The range listed is just one component of Jam City's total compensation package for employees, which may also include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, or market demands. This range is based on a full-time position. This range may be modified in the future. In addition, Jam City provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, life, disability, and accident insurance.  Pay Range: $75,000 — $95,000 salary per year.
