Job description

Job Summary:
Torc Robotics is a leader in autonomous driving technology focused on developing software for automated trucks. The Technical Product Manager for the Fleet Team will prioritize needs across various engineering teams and drive execution on a roadmap to support engineering in advancing the companyโ€™s milestones.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Serve as a conduit between the needs of multiple engineering teams and fleet resources.
โ€ข Prioritize needs across data collection, on-road testing, vehicle commissioning, V&V, and other engineering teams to provide guidance on optimal utilization of trucks and personnel in fleet.
โ€ข Leverage best practices in program management to drive execution on a roadmap, including its dependencies, risks, and changes.
โ€ข Partner with other TPMs to inform the short- and long-term priorities of the fleet team to support engineering in advancing the companyโ€™s milestones.
โ€ข Represent fleet's needs from engineering, working alongside other TPMs to build out a plan to support fleet.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Program Manager in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in STEM related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 6+ years of experience OR;
โ€ข Masterโ€™s Degree in STEM related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 3+ years of experience
โ€ข A strong track record of delivering outcomes and driving execution through successful cross-functional programs between technical and non-technical stakeholders
โ€ข Experience managing a cross-functional roadmap, including the dependencies, risks, and change management of that roadmap
โ€ข Strong active listening, negotiation, and prioritization skills
โ€ข Ability to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to different audiences
โ€ข The desire to grow your technical and program skillsets in an ever-evolving industry
โ€ข Experience with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira for project management, Confluence for documentation, and tools for brainstorming and visual collaboration, such as Miro
โ€ข Expected to be in office 5 days a week to effectively partner with fleet operations teams in person on a consistent basis
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle industry
โ€ข Experience breaking down technical engineering requirements to non-technical stakeholders or fleet leadership
โ€ข Experience communicating and prioritizing on-the-ground problems with autonomous vehicles to different engineering stakeholders
