ABOUT US

ATX Solar is a leading residential solar installation company in the greater Austin area. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, innovation, and community involvement. We're on the lookout for a top-tier Solar Electrician to join our dynamic team.


JOB SUMMARY

Are you a skilled electrician with a passion for solar energy? We're seeking an Electrician who is not just a technician, but a leader who can ensure quality and safety. You’ll be responsible for the full spectrum of electrical work involved in solar installations, from running conduit to final interconnection and energy storage systems installations. Your role will be integral in ensuring that our solar systems meet the highest standards of workmanship and safety.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installation of battery / ESS, and interconnecting solar arrays to residential electrical grids.
  • Install Balance of System (BOS) equipment including inverters, combiner boxes, and PV disconnects.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with NEC codes and local amendments during installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during installation.
  • Work collaboratively with roof installation teams and homeowners to support solar equipment.
  • Attend and represent ATX Solar during electrical inspections.
  • Perform system commissioning and function checks to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and complete Main Panel Upgrades and other service upgrades as needed.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and plan sets to execute installations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Residential Journeyman LICENSE REQUIRED
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Working knowledge of the NEC
  • Proven ability to produce inspection-ready solar installations on time.
  • Experience with Main Panel Upgrades and service upgrades.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work within Houston and surrounding market
  • Weekends and Overtime as needed
