About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high accuracy, high-quality work and has experience operating a variety of manual and precision machining equipment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, reading complex prints, holding tight tolerances, and maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
  • ย Set up and operate:ย 
    • ย ProtoTRAK-controlled mills and lathesย 
    • ย Manual Surface grinders (Mitsui and Chevalier)ย 
    • ย Jig grinders (Moore)
    • ย Wire EDM machines (Fanuc, Mitsubishi)
  • ย Machine precision components to tight tolerancesย 
  • ย Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructionsย 
  • ย Select proper tooling, workholding, and machining methodsย 
  • ย Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipmentย 
  • ย Perform first-piece and in-process inspectionsย 
  • ย Maintain organized work areas and equipmentย 
  • ย Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and qualityย 
  • ย Troubleshoot machining and setup issues as neededย 
Qualifications
  • ย 5+ years of machining or toolroom experience preferredย 
  • ย Strong experience with ProtoTRAK controlsย 
  • ย Experience operating surface grinders, jig grinders, and wire EDM equipmentย 
  • ย Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality finishesย 
  • ย Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledgeย 
  • ย Proficient with micrometers, indicators, calipers, gauge blocks, and other inspection toolsย 
  • ย Self-motivated with strong attention to detailย 
  • ย Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • ย Experience in tool & die, mold making, aerospace, medical, or precision manufacturing environmentsย 
  • ย CNC programming and setup experienceย 
  • ย Familiarity with EDM programming and optimizationย 
  • ย Experience working with hardened materials and complex geometriesย
