Job description

Step into a day on our toolroom floor

You clock in, scan the production board, and team up with production and maintenance to keep stamping running at peak performance. One hour you’re diagnosing an in‑press die issue; the next you’re at the bench rebuilding components, laying out metal stock, and bringing a worn tool back to spec. Precision is your language—reading blueprints and GD&T, checking alignments with micrometers and gauge blocks, and polishing details so parts nest perfectly and high-contact surfaces last longer.

What you’ll do
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations every step of the way.
  • Troubleshoot and repair stamping dies both in the press and in the toolroom.
  • Analyze specifications and lay out metal stock for tooling repairs or modifications.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
  • Assemble and fit parts using machines and hand tools to build, repair, or modify tooling.
  • Perform TIG/MIG welding to repair or rebuild tool steel components.
  • Spot and polish die details to ensure proper nesting and reduce wear on high‑contact surfaces.
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and tolerances using precision tools including calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T callouts, sketches, and models.
  • Maintain clear communication with production and maintenance teams.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
What you bring
  • Journeyman Tool & Die certification preferred.
  • At least four years of related experience or completion of an approved trade school program.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints/technical drawings, including GD&T.
  • Hands‑on experience with precision measurement tools and machinist equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical demands
  • Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and equipment.
  • Frequently lift or move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision needs include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment & PPE
  • Manufacturing setting with moving mechanical parts and stamping equipment.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical equipment.
  • Noise levels may be high; hearing protection is required and provided.
  • Safety glasses are required and provided.
  • Steel‑toe safety shoes or boots are required.
Compensation & benefits
  • Shift premium: 2nd Shift $2.00/hour; 3rd Shift $1.50/hour.
  • Skilled Trades Premium: $2.50/hour for 2nd and 3rd shift (in addition to shift premium).
  • Weekly pay.
  • Affordable Medical, Dental & Vision insurance.
  • $50,000 Life Insurance Policy paid for by the employer.
  • Paid Vacation.
  • 10 Paid Holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Cutting‑edge technology and systems; state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
  • Safe work environment.
  • Career advancement opportunities.
  • 100% Tuition, Books, and Fees Reimbursement.
  • Wellness Rewards Program.
