Job description

Tool and Die Maker - Second Shift
Monday-Friday: 2pm-10pm
$27.89/hour plus $2.00/hour shift premium totaling $29.89/hour

What You'll Do: As a Tool and Die Maker, you'll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You'll get to: Responsibilities / Authority:
Coordinate schedules and follow up on assignments through completion.
  • Build tools, dies, and fixtures as required for production.
  • Attend required internal and/or external safety classes and follow all safety rules.
  • Repair and recondition existing tools, fixtures, and dies as assigned.
  • Perform machine work on components for new tools, fixtures, and dies as required.
  • Operate lift truck, cranes, welders and other equipment to perform Tool Room duties.
  • Train new apprentices as needed.
  • Maintain quality and production standards following all ISO and company procedures.
  • Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the selection and development of Tool Room personnel.
  • Perform Tool Room tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

  • State approved Tool & Die Journeyman's card.
  • Must be able to build tools, dies, and fixtures as required for production.
  • Must be able to safely and properly use all tool room equipment.
  • Proven ability to read blueprints, build and repair dies, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Ability to develop, implement, or improve preventative maintenance measures.
  • Must have a valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of machining, stamping, fabrication, and assembly operations.
