What your day looks like

At our Shelby Township, MI facility, you’ll turn complex aerospace blueprints into precisely fabricated components. From the first spark of a TIG arc to the final inspection stamp, your craftsmanship and judgment will keep flight-critical parts on spec and on schedule.

Your impact

You’ll bring blueprints and technical drawings to life—laying out, fitting, and welding aluminum and stainless steel assemblies built to aerospace standards. You’ll collaborate with engineers, refine your technique through training, and uphold a spotless, safe work environment every step of the way.

Core responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of parts.
  • Perform fitting and welding tasks on various materials, including aluminum and stainless steel.
  • Utilize welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to create strong, durable joints.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in aerospace welding techniques.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or fabrication preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Fitter/Welder, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques and materials used in aerospace applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
