WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures.
  • The associate must work well with their hands and have a strong eye for detail.
  • A journeyman tool and die maker / machinist is a highly skilled artisan. To grow in this role, the candidate must be willing to learn and be able to thrive in an environment where they receive hands-on instruction.
  • They should have a working knowledge of engineering, science, design, and technology.
  • An apprentice must also be highly detail-oriented and a perfectionist.
  • Set-up and operate all machine tools in a tool room environment including but not limited to, conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, grinders and CNC equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum guidance

YOU HAVE:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Trade school experience is preferred (Machining, Fabrication, etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and models
  • Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers

  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands of working in the tool room and trouble shooting in the press room.
