POSITION SUMMARY

At Barrel One Collective, our Servers and Bartenders are at the heart of our guest experience-whether it's crafting the perfect pint, pairing food with our beers, or providing warm, friendly service that keeps people coming back. This hybrid position allows for flexibility to perform either function depending on shift assignments and business needs.

Servers and Bartenders are expected to be energetic, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a busy, beer-forward restaurant and brewery setting.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Harpoon Beer Captain, you'll be at the heart of our pop-up operations in Boston Common, serving up not just our craft beers but also a great atmosphere. This role is perfect for someone who loves being outdoors and engaging directly with customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with guests to share knowledge about Harpoon's beers and food offerings, making recommendations that enhance their experience.
  • Handling beer pouring and basic food service with enthusiasm and accuracy, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and taken care of.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards, especially in a fast-paced outdoor setting.
  • Managing the setup and breakdown of the pop-up space, including moving and changing kegs, and operating draft equipment.
  • Contributing to team efforts during special events or peak times to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitoring the space to ensure a safe and welcoming environment, including checking IDs, enforcing alcohol service standards, and proactively addressing any safety or security concerns.
