Presently, we continue to challenge ourselves, expanding our product range to include electronics and home appliances, while consistently providing customers with products showcasing the latest technology, all at affordable prices.   


PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Janitorial TA I is responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitation duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility. This position ensures all assigned areas are cleaned according to established standards and supports overall operational cleanliness. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Facility Cleaning and Sanitation - 70%

  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in production, office, and common areas 
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces 
  • Restock restroom and breakroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue 
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment 
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces 
  • Maintain janitorial carts, tools, and cleaning supplies in clean and working condition
  • Responsible for completing all assigned weekly, biweekly, and monthly cleaning tasks and physically marking them off on the designated checklist to document completion in real time. Accurate checklist completion is a required part of job performance

Health & Safety Support 20%

  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or facility maintenance issues 
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and hazard-free work environment in compliance with company standards 

Other Duties as Assigned - 10% 

  • Participate in special projects or deep-cleaning tasks as directed 
  • Support event setup, teardown and post-event cleanup 
  • Perform any additional cleaning or facility-related tasks assigned by Team Lead or Manager 

Requirements

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent (preferred) 
  • 0-3 years prior experience as custodian/janitorial (preferred) 
  • Understanding of chemical safety and Safety Data Sheet usage (required) 
  • Familiarity with sanitation standards 
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety protocols 
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive, productive work environment

Work Environment for the Janitorial Team Associate I

  • The role requires frequent movement throughout production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and offices. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. The TA I will regularly clean and maintain exterior areas such as parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances, including during periods of hot weather and direct sun exposure. Appropriate PPE and hydration practices are expected. Janitorial TA Is are exposed to varying, noise levels, and industrial equipment. Protective gear may be required depending on the area being serviced. The environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to work on foot for extended periods and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
