Job description

Essential Job Functions:

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, fixtures, and floors.
  • Clean and maintain lunchrooms, break areas, offices, conference rooms, and other common spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Disinfect high-touch points such as door handles, light switches, handrails, and shared equipment.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers, replace liners, and dispose of waste properly.
  • Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and related items.
  • Safely use and maintain cleaning chemicals, tools, equipment, and janitorial storage areas.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures, and report maintenance issues, hazards, or supply shortages to management.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to read, write and speak English efficiently to understand instructions, complete tasks and communicate with supervisors and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial setting
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and disinfection practices

Physical Requirements**:

  • *Must be able to always (95% - 100%) lift and maneuver 10 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
  • *Must be able to frequently (65% - 90%) lift and maneuver 15 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
  • *Must be able to often (35% - 60%) lift and maneuver 30 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
  • *Must be able to occasionally (5% - 30%) lift and maneuver 50 pounds in any range of motion combination from ground/ankle height through above shoulder height for the 8-hour shift.
  • *Must be able to always (95%-100%) walk and stand for the 8-hour shift.
  • *Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach during routine cleaning tasks.
  • *Ability to push or pull carts, vacuums and other cleaning equipment.

Travel Requirements:

  • On-site critical role. No travel.
