Working remotely for a toilet paper factory often means contributing to operations, logistics, or customer support teams from a distance, rather than being on the production floor. One unique challenge is maintaining clear communication with on-site staff to ensure production targets and quality standards are met. Coordinating with various departments, such as supply chain or sales, requires effective use of digital collaboration tools and proactive problem-solving. Additionally, remote workers may need to adapt to shifting priorities quickly, especially during periods of high demand. Regular virtual meetings and clear documentation are essential for staying aligned with factory operations.

What is a remote toilet paper factory?

A remote toilet paper factory is a manufacturing facility that produces toilet paper products and operates in a location that may be distant from major cities or distribution centers. In some contexts, 'remote' may also refer to the ability to manage or monitor factory operations using digital tools and automation from a distance, rather than being physically present on site. These factories are essential for maintaining the supply of hygiene products, especially in underserved or isolated areas. They often use advanced machinery to automate processes like pulping, pressing, and packaging toilet paper. Remote management can improve efficiency and allow specialists to oversee multiple sites simultaneously.

Full-time

Job description

Are you an experienced electrician who would like to use your brain more and your back less?
Are you a self-starting individual who thrives on challenges and enjoys working independently?
Do you like to see how things are made?
Do you enjoy travel and not being tied to an office or the same work environment every day?
Do you want to help build a successful company while also developing skills that will propel your career?
Who we are:
Rozel, a subsidiary of Guidant Power, provides arc flash evaluations and electrical safety training to industrial and commercial clients nationwide. Since 2011 we have completed thousands of evaluations for well-known companies in healthcare, energy, and manufacturing.
We are adding a data collector to our team to help make workplaces safer. If you have 480V 3-phase factory experience we want to talk with you!
Who we need:
We are looking for an individual with prior industrial electrical experience to travel to customer sites and collect information on their electrical distribution systems. We expect you have experience working in well-run industrial facilities, and can read and understand one line diagrams. You should be able to identify components within the electrical distribution system and describe how they function. Following our safety procedures, you will be required to open live equipment to record data.
We are looking for an individual who can work independently as well as with a team. Most of your time will be spent alone, and you must be efficient, able to manage time effectively, understand your limitations and ask for help when necessary. Although you will be alone on site, you will be constantly communicating with our team during the site visit, so there is plenty of support if you need it.
What you'll do:
  • Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations
  • Open equipment and record equipment information- via photos, paper, and electronic means
  • Read and understand one line drawings and make edits to create accurate as-built drawings
  • Utilize online document storage to retrieve and upload data, as well as spreadsheets to enter information
  • Communicate with engineering and the customer to answer questions and ensure accuracy
  • Apply labels to electrical equipment
  • Conduct yourself professionally at all times because you are the company's interface with our customers. Be able to observe and inquire about other opportunities where the company may be able to help.
  • Use your brain, not your brawn, we want someone who can use their experience to accurately describe electrical distribution systems so our engineers can efficiently model them.
  • You'll get to see how stuff works. From ice cream factories, to tires, to hospitals, to nuclear power plants, you will be working with a wide variety of customers whose names you will know.

What you bring to the table:
  • Industrial experience (previous experience with arc flash evaluations a plus, or an electrical engineering degree)
  • Ability to travel (valid driver's license, air travel)
  • Live within an hour of a major airport
  • Ability to work efficiently on laptops and tablets and be proficient using applications similar to Google drive, spreadsheets, Google photos, and pdf files.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration skills working in a small, highly focused and interactive team

Additional Information:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods
  • You must reside in the USA
  • We are not currently providing employment visa sponsorship
  • This is a 100% travel position

What we offer:
  • Compensation package commensurate with experience and skills
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible working policy

We are seeking a teammate with the values, skills, and passion to build Guidant Power into the premier partner for electrical safety, reliability, and safety services. Even if you don't check all the boxes above, but you bring a unique ability to help us fill this important role, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Benefits:
  • 401(k)
  • Health insurance

Schedule:
  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Year round work

License/Certification:
  • Electrical License (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
This is a Remote (work from home) position.
