General Role Description

ย Coordinate and manage the flow of engineering documents, including drawings and technical content, for the business unit (BU) engineers

Role Accountabilities

-ย ย  Update schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project requirements

-ย ย  Prepare the release of print schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings to Assembly and QC Departments, ensuring accuracy and version control

-ย ย  Prepare work instructions and procedures for manufacturing, as directed

-ย ย  Provide technical content for product manuals, ensuring the documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with final product specificationsย ย ย ย ย 

-ย ย  Provide engineering guidance to production personnel, helping to interpret drawings and resolve technical concerns

-ย ย  Track and maintain revisions to specifications and drawings throughout the product lifecycle, adhering to change control processes

-ย ย  Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in documentation and design workflows in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams

-ย ย  Ensure technical documentation complies with industry codes and internal standards, supporting quality, safety, and regulatory compliance

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

-ย ย  Bachelor of science in electrical engineering or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience

-ย ย  Demonstrated knowledge of electrical circuits, schematics, and industrial documentation standards

-ย ย  Proficiency in AutoCAD

-ย ย  Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to resolve technical discrepancies in engineering documentation

-ย ย  Demonstrated successful working relationships with others in educational or employment settings

-ย ย  Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts

-ย ย  Proficiency with MS office programs

-ย ย  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekendsย  to meet project deadlines

-ย ย  Availability to travel, domestically, up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

-ย ย  Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment

-ย ย  Demonstrated experience supporting high-volume, multi-project engineering environments

-ย ย  Demonstrated familiarity with ISO 9000 documentation standards and document control procedures

-ย ย  2 years' experience of records management

-ย ย  Experience with CREO, SolidWorks, Inventor softwareย 

-ย ย  Working knowledge of ERP systems and BOM (Bill of Material) structure management
