Job description

You’ll be expected to handle title and/or settlement files independently from start to finish and deliver exceptional service to attorneys, lenders, buyers, and sellers.

Title Officer Responsibilities:

  • Type title commitments/binders and final policies
  • Clear title and resolve issues with underwriting guidance
  • Communicate with agents, attorneys, and lenders
  • Manage title clearance and coordinate document recordings

Settlement Officer Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage CDs, closing packages, and disbursements
  • Coordinate closings and oversee document execution
  • Handle post-closing activities and ensure compliance
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the transaction

    Required Skills & Experience

  • Active NJ Title Insurance License (Required)
  • 3–20 years of title and/or settlement experience
  • Must be comfortable running a file independently from open to close
  • Proficient in TitleFusion (or similar software) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong skills in title clearance, preparing CDs, funding packages, and post-closing
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional and clear communication with attorneys, clients, vendors, and underwriters
