Common issues covered by title insurance include unknown liens, ownership disputes, or errors in public records that could affect the ownership of the property. Unlike other types of insurance that protect against future events, title insurance covers events related to the past ownership of the property. It is typically purchased during the closing process of a real estate transaction and provides peace of mind that your ownership rights are secure.
