Position Overview

Perez Morris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Columbus, Ohio office. This position focuses on commercial and general liability litigation matters and is well-suited for an attorney with 4 to 6 years of civil litigation experience who is ready to independently manage a diverse caseload, contribute to client relationships, and grow their practice in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage an assigned case load of business and general liability litigation matters from inception through resolution, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of the legal practice.
  • Appear regularly in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
  • Lead all aspects of litigation strategy, including drafting pleadings, drafting and responding to written discovery, preparing motions, negotiating settlements, and preparing witnesses for trial.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for corporate clients and insurers, providing regular case updates, strategic assessments, and litigation plans throughout the matter lifecycle.
  • Provide sound legal advice and strategic counsel to clients at all stages of the litigation process.
Qualifications
  • Associate with 4-6 years of experience handling civil litigation matters.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in good standing with the Ohio Bar.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure cases and manage complex litigation matters.
  • Commitment to client service and ethical legal practice.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.
