Transportation Office Assistant

Join Our Titan Team as a Transportation Assistant at Ball-Chatham School District! Ball-Chatham School District is seeking a customer-focused, analytical individual to join our Transportation team. If you're passionate about ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation for students while working in a collaborative and supportive environment, this is the role for you!

Job Goal: The Transportation Office Assistant provides clerical, administrative, data entry, and recordkeeping support for the Transportation Department. This position assists with daily office operations, maintains accurate and confidential records, and serves as a point of contact for transportation-related communications. The Transportation Office Assistant provides courteous support to staff, families, transportation employees, vendors, and District personnel in accordance with department procedures and District expectations.

Reports To: Director of Transportation

Hourly Range: 5:30am-9:30am Spit shifts 12:30pm-4:30pm Pay: $21.00- $29.71 per hour (Based on experience) & Non-exempt Calendar: 12 Month

Employees Required: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Previous logistics experience Previous customer service experience

Special Knowledge/Skills/Requirements: Strong communication skills Ability to apply abstract rules to a wide variety of situations Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy Computer literacy (including Microsoft Word and Excel) Resourceful with problem-solving abilities within limits of authority Ability to manage multiple projects while handling interruptions Exhibits confidentiality, initiative, attention to detail, and enthusiasm
