Job Summary
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to customers by selling tires and automotive service, road hazard, recommended services, benefits and product features, creating long-term loyalty bonds with customers; driving sales and profitability of the store, communicating and managing repair orders and maintaining a clean and well merchandised store.
Fast-paced, high volume retail environment with growth and career opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Promptly meets and greets customers
  • Answers phone and schedules appointments with customers
  • Determines the nature of customer problems; May make road test or visually inspect the vehicle
  • Creates Repair Order Request (ROR) detailing service to be performed or merchandise to be sold
  • Explains warranties, options, pricing, etc. to the customer
  • Obtains customer approval for service before delivering order to service personnel
  • Reviews completed repairs or services performed with customers and collects payment

Desired Qualifications
  • High School graduate or comparable vocational training
  • Knowledge of computerized sales and marketing software
  • Knowledge of auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance issues
  • Experience using Mitchell Repair, Activant, All-Data and vehicle service manuals to research and determine the resolution of malfunctions
  • 2+ years experience in a retail environment, preferably auto/truck tire, lubrication and maintenance
  • Retail customer service and customer relations experience
  • Preferred Experience
    • 3+ years experience as a Sales Associate in an auto repair store, auto dealership or comparable professional environment
    • Tire Manufacturer Sales Skills certification a plus
