Event Director job at 5Kevents.org, LLC. Racine, WI.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Event Directors manage the operations of an event on race day. This is a part time position with the majority of hours on weekends. There is an opportunity for this position to become full time. JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Strong communication and organization skill required. Ability to manage a variety of staff and volunteers under stressful situations. Public speaking in front of athletes for race day instructions, start line, announcements and awards is required.

Background in running, triathlons or endurance racing is a plus. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Basic mechanical skills necessary (operating generator, assisting with installing marketing pieces). Coordinate sponsors and their race day marketing needs. Work with timer.
