CLM Midwest is a regional commercial facilities contractor with a local presence who partners with some of the nation's leading retail, convenience, and restaurant brands. We are a long-established, self-performing company that provides install, break/fix, and emergency services. This career opportunity is available as our sales and work orders are continuously growing near you.
We are looking for experienced service techs to join our field team who specialize in one or multiple of the following core commercial skillsets:
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Carpentry
  • Handyman
  • Flooring & Tile

Successful candidates are flexible, resourceful, have a growth mindset, and like to solve different problems every day. Training is provided through our two-week new hire program and various collaborations with "Trade Specialist" leaders who support our field team day to day. Daily work orders will range from reactive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installs, replacements, and other capital projects.

Pay and Benefits:
A commercial General Maintenance Technician's competitive wage varies depending on a candidate's region and professional experience. Qualified candidates are typically offered between $24 to $28/hr. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for more based on advanced experience, certification, and licenses.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in commercial maintenance or another related field
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Good communication written and verbal
  • Capacity to use smart phones and/or tablets proficiently
  • Comfortable with driving to multiple locations throughout a shift
  • Flexible availability that can include overtime, evenings, weekends, on-call rotation
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR check

Job Responsibilities:
  • Cover assigned territory of approximately 1 to 2 hour radius from your home
  • Perform general maintenance, including but not limited to: minor electrical, minor plumbing, painting, tile work, drywall, door locks
  • Communicate with support team via phone app to respond to work orders and IVR check-in
  • Utilize trouble-shooting skills to determine necessary repair(s)
  • Prepare job scope-of-work to include time estimates and material requirements
  • Exhibit professionalism and good customer service in client and public settings
  • Participate in on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends; one week every 4 to 6 weeks

Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, sit, kneel, and walk up/down stairs on a regular basis; climb up and down ladders up to 35 feet high repeatedly on a shift
  • Work from various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders or man-lifts
  • Bend and stretch, lift and move heavy objects (50-60 lbs) many times across a shift
  • Operate, maintain, and work close proximity to various power equipment, including but not limited to, forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools and automatic machinery
