What does a tile helper do?

As a Tile Helper, your daily responsibilities usually include preparing surfaces, mixing mortar or grout, carrying materials, and assisting tile setters with laying and spacing tiles. You may help with cleaning up job sites, cutting tiles to fit specific spaces, and ensuring all tools and materials are organized and ready for use. Strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to learn are valuable soft skills for supporting tile setters and working efficiently in a team. These skills ensure accurate, safe, and efficient completion of tile installation projects.

Do tile helpers make good money?

Tile helpers typically earn an hourly wage that is lower than experienced tile setters, often ranging from minimum wage to around $15-$20 per hour depending on location and experience.
