Position summary:
It is the responsibility of the stackers to insure first quality packing and proper separation of colors and styles, as well as proper yardage amounts in each box.
Educational requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED

Skills and experience:
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Essential duties:
  • Place proper amount of tiles in boxes according to boxing specifications
  • Insure that all tiles are flat and square in box.
  • Stack pallets of carpet tile for bin box shipments when scheduled
  • Check run schedules for special packaging or stack-off instructions
  • Process boxes through the box machine insuring proper sealing without
  • box damage.
  • Insure that box machine is clean and in proper working order
  • Be alert for quality defects such as short cut and bevels prior to boxing
  • Move all off-quality tiles to the reinspection table.
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Comply with safety rules
  • Comply with environmental regulations
  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
  • Understand and support the Interface commitment to sustainability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical demands:
  • Standing throughout 8-10 hour shift
  • Lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly

Work environment:
  • Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
