Title: Spookah Actor

Status: Exempt

Date: September 1, 2026

Reports to: Spookah Coordinators

Job Summary:

Spookah Actors are responsible for safely dressing up, presenting, or portraying a character.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs. consistently.
  • Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
  • Varying work hours extending up to eighteen (10) hour workdays under some circumstances.
  • Working out of doors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.

Safety:

  • Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to work at the scheduled time.
  • Get dressed and in makeup in enough time to be ready for the start of the Spookah event daily.
  • Display a positive, cooperative attitude toward coworkers and guests.
  • Portray your character or role at all times.
  • Agree to use no profanity or allow promiscuous content.
  • In the event of an accident, call your supervisor and never discuss the event with the public.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Display a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to establish priorities, works independently, and proceeds with objectives without supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Display an outgoing, energetic personality

Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate is desired.
  • Previous experience performing in front of groups is strongly preferred
