Pay: $18–$25 per hour, based on experience


Start Date: ASAP

A family is seeking dependable, patient and experienced caregivers to provide comprehensive in-home care for an elderly couple. Day and overnight shifts are available. Days and hours may vary, and applicants may apply for one or both shifts.

The male client is 93 years old, mobile and living with dementia. He requires full assistance, supervision and redirection and may remain awake during the night. The female client is 87 years old, has experienced two strokes, has limited speech and is non-mobile. She requires complete assistance with personal care, toileting, transfers and repositioning.


Day Shift: Approximately 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, meal preparation, feeding assistance, medication administration, safe transfers, dementia supervision, light housekeeping and laundry.


Awake Overnight Shift: Approximately 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.

The caregiver must remain awake and attentive throughout the entire shift. Responsibilities include monitoring both clients, providing dementia supervision and redirection, repositioning the female client two to three times per night, assisting with nighttime personal care as needed and administering scheduled medications.


The female client weighs approximately 120 pounds and is currently transferred by one caregiver. A gait belt, wheelchair and hospital bed are available. The home is smoke-free and has no pets.


Requirements:

  • Professional senior-care experience
  • Dementia and full-assistance care experience
  • Experience with non-mobile adults and one-person transfers
  • Current CPR and first-aid certification
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Verifiable professional references
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • CNA or home health aide experience preferred
