Position Overview
Event Staff play an important role in creating a smooth, welcoming, and well-organized environment throughout the guest journey. Working in a variety of front-of-house positions, team members help ensure that every guest feels guided, supported, and valued from arrival to departure.
This is a hands-on role that combines hospitality, attentiveness, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist with ticket support, and ushering/seating guidance
- Provide thoughtful and courteous guest service, including answering questions and offering clear directions
- Assist with ticketing inquiries and help resolve concerns with care and professionalism
- Monitor exhibit spaces to ensure steady guest flow and a comfortable environment
- Help maintain a calm, respectful atmosphere within the venue
- Observe and report any safety concerns to supervisors
- Support team members and contribute positively to daily operations
- Assist with additional duties as needed to ensure a successful event
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 1 year of direct experience in customer service, hospitality, community events, or retail is an asset
- Comfort using POS or ticketing systems (training provided)
- Friendly, composed, and approachable presence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak clearly to individuals and small groups
- Bilingual (English plus another language) considered an asset
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Ability to remain attentive and engaged throughout a shift
Schedule & Availability
- Primarily part-time hours
- Evening and weekend availability is required
- All performances and events take place in the evening
- Must be available on weekends and holidays during the exhibit run
Compensation
- $20.00 per hour
