Position Overview

Thrive Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in an outpatient orthopedic setting in Woodbridge, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will conduct thorough patient assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and implement effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain. Our Physical Therapists are central to enhancing patient outcomes and guiding individuals on their recovery journey through personalized care and evidence-based practices.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work on-site at our Woodbridge facility, which is designed specifically for outpatient rehabilitation. Our center promotes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, conducive to healing and trust, and encourages open communication among team members. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a great work-life balance while delivering quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
  • Design and implement individualized therapy plans that align with established best practices, ensuring each approach is suited to the patient's unique needs.
  • Utilize a combination of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized equipment, to restore patient function and mobility effectively.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet defined therapeutic goals.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatments administered and patient progress using our electronic medical record (EMR) system, preferably WebPT, ensuring compliance with all documentation standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address any concerns that may arise throughout the treatment process.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including attending workshops, seminars, and training courses to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date on the latest rehabilitation techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists primarily work with adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will benefit from a diverse patient population, offering varied cases that enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Building strong therapeutic relationships with patients not only fosters adherence to treatment plans but also significantly impacts their recovery outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation strategies is essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, will be considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
