Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans directed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring interventions are executed skillfully and effectively.

• Engage with patients to assess their individual needs, demonstrating empathy and understanding to foster a supportive therapeutic relationship.

• Utilize the latest research and best practices to restore function, alleviate symptoms, and prevent future injuries.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Perform data collection and assessments to track patient performance, updating medical records accordingly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in making clinical judgments regarding patient care.
• Adhere strictly to ethical and legal standards within the healthcare profession, ensuring patient confidentiality and high-quality care.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on adult patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic health conditions that impact their mobility and functional independence. Our diverse patient population also includes elderly individuals seeking to regain strength and mobility, as well as younger patients in need of rehabilitation following sports injuries. Your contributions will significantly enhance their quality of life as they transition back into their daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field is required.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with patients.
• Proficiency in healthcare documentation practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or hospital environment is highly desirable.
