Job description

THRIFT STORE ASSOCIATE

The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Colorado River Thrift Store is hiring for a part-time Thrift Store Associate for our Bullhead City store. While this individual will primarily be at our Bullhead City location, eligible candidates should be willing and able to work at any of our locations in Fort Mohave, or Bullhead.

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service to our donors, customers and volunteers;
  • Process incoming donations;
  • Stock inventory and prepare merchandise displays;
  • Cleaning and daily organization;
  • Assist customers in the sale of merchandise;
  • Work the cash register and follow all cash control policies;
  • Follow all policies and procedures for sales and for the safe handling and display of merchandise;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

Qualified Candidates must have strong customer service/organizational skills. The right candidate will have a positive attitude with understanding of the Boys & Girls Club mission including being a 24 hour role model. The right person will have a willingness and ability to work in warehouse-like conditions including heat, cold, and dust. Candidates must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and some holidays. Laughlin store hours are Monday - Sunday 10:00am - 6:00pm. Physical requirements include regular periods of standing or walking, regular movements required using the wrists, hands, or fingers, ability to lift 20 lbs.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in retail, restaurant/hospitality field, sales or a combination of experience and education/training in at least some of these areas is required.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug test upon hire. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River is a Federal grant recipient; therefore, our drug test includes testing for marijuana among other drugs.
