Service Plumber

Position Summary

Three Amigos Plumbing is seeking an experienced and dependable Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, provide high-quality workmanship, and communicate professionally with customers, property managers, tenants, and office staff.

The Service Plumber will diagnose plumbing problems, complete repairs and installations, explain findings to customers, and provide accurate information for invoices and estimates.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing problems.
  • Perform drain cleaning, sewer line inspections, leak detection, and plumbing fixture repairs.
  • Repair and replace water heaters, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, hose bibs, pressure-reducing valves, expansion tanks, and other plumbing components.
  • Complete plumbing installations and replacements according to applicable codes and company standards.
  • Clearly explain plumbing findings, repair options, and recommendations to customers.
  • Provide detailed job notes, photos, material lists, and estimate information to the office.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the workday.
  • Test completed repairs to confirm proper operation and ensure there are no active leaks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and local plumbing codes.
  • Participate in an on-call or after-hours rotation when required.
  • On call rotation

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of plumbing service experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems.
  • Ability to diagnose plumbing problems and complete repairs independently.
  • Drain-cleaning and sewer-camera experience is preferred.
  • Water-heater installation and repair experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass applicable background and driving-record requirements.
  • Must have reliable attendance and a professional appearance.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for job documentation and communication.
  • Plumbing license or apprentice registration is preferred when applicable.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry plumbing equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work in crawlspaces, basements, mechanical rooms, and other confined areas.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
