Maintenance Technician – The Pullman in Union City, Georgia

The Maintenance Technician supports daily maintenance operations for a multifamily community, helping ensure the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role contributes to asset preservation, resident satisfaction, and overall community performance through timely, high-quality maintenance service.

Your Role as a Maintenance Technician

As a Service Technician, you will work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and general repairs. This role plays a key part in maintaining the physical condition of the community while supporting service standards and operational efficiency.

You will contribute to a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment while collaborating closely with on-site teams and delivering quality service to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues and ensuring quality resolution
  • Diagnose and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and support scheduled inspections of building systems and equipment
  • Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers to support occupancy and readiness goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and communicate updates to leadership
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and company policies
  • Assist with vendor coordination and notify leadership when additional support is needed
  • Participate in emergency response efforts and on-call rotations as required
  • Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members to support a positive experience
Our Ideal Candidate for this RoleEducation
  • High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent level of education and experience
Experience & Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in property maintenance
  • Flexibility and availability for on-call duty and emergency repairs
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is required for this role for the purpose of on-call emergencies
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including frequent lifting of 50 to 80 pounds and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance and safety
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Certifications
  • EPA certification preferred
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification a plus
