Schedule: Full-time- 36 hours/week. 12-hour Day/Evening weekend contract. Holiday responsibilities per department scheduling guidelines
Are you an experienced ICU RN looking for continued growth and opportunity? The Intensive Care Unit at Thompson Hospital is a modern, patient-focused environment committed to delivering exceptional critical care to our community. Our 12-bed ICU features private patient rooms thoughtfully designed with ample space for advanced monitoring technology, allowing nurses to practice at the highest level while still supporting meaningful bedside time with patients' friends and loved ones. This setting promotes high-quality, compassionate care and a strong professional practice environment for our nursing team.
Main Job Function
  • Utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care provided to patients.
  • Provide patient education & coordinate the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications
  • NYS licensed registered nurse required
  • Current CPR/BLS required
  • ACLS within one year
  • CCRN preferred

Education
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • BSN required or commitment to complete within 5 years of appointment
  • Certification in clinical specialty or willingness to complete when eligible
  • Evidence of cardiac arrhythmia course or critical care course or within one year of employment

Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical/surgical experience required
  • Cardiac monitoring preferred
  • Critical care preferred
  • Able to prioritize and plan for the unexpected
  • Able to delegate tasks appropriately. Interpersonal skills: Able to prioritize and plan for the unexpected. Able to delegate tasks appropriately. Good Communication skills, and skilled in customer service. Reliability and flexibility.

Position Pay Range: $38.00-50.00
