Nisga'a CIOPS delivers cleared professionals to support civilian and DoD customers worldwide across intelligence support, cyber/defensive cyber operations, IT O&M, infrastructure modernization, training, and logistics.

Summary:

The Business Analyst/Application Developer supports the development, enhancement, and sustainment of mission-critical applications while delivering analytical products in support of AFCJIC and Department of the Air Force (DAF) requirements. This role collaborates with project managers, designers, QA teams, and functional stakeholders to translate business and operational needs into secure, reliable applications and actionable data insights.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with the project manager and UI/UX designer to translate wireframes and mockups into a fully functional application
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable, and reliable code
  • Integrate with third-party APIs for features such as user authentication, messaging, and data analytics
  • Implement security best practices to protect user data and ensure the integrity of the application
  • Conduct unit testing and work with the OSI QA team to identify and resolve bugs
  • Participate in agile development ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Collection and presentation of recurring and ad hoc analytical reports regarding DAF information contained within applicable indexing systems. Integrate efforts with functional field elements and Case Management System (CMS) teams regarding analytical products/data 
  • Provide applicable analytical responses to Congressional, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Agency Release, DoW, DAF, and functional elements regarding information under the control of AFCJIC
  • Works directly for the Director, Criminal Indexing Support Directorate, and must be able to perform well in a remote position
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • In depth knowledge of the Appian Platform (analyst and developer) is required.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including data collection, analysis, and presentation
  • Understanding of data security principles and protection of sensitive or controlled information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote work environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an application developer and producing analytical reports
  • Must have a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Appian developer certification is preferred
