Job Summary:

The Therapy Receptionist facilitates patient care at point-of-entry for our Therapy Clinic. The primary responsibility of this position is patient scheduling and intake.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Welcomes patients and visitors upon entry into the clinic.
  • Assists with patient checkin/checkout.
  • Verify insurance.
  • Collects copays and deductibles.
  • Enters patient demographics into EMR & practice management systems.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
  • Professional, dependable, and maintains positive attitude in fastpaced environment.
  • Organized and able to multitask to facilitate efficient workflow.
  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology and general medical practice operations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Basic office skills such as typing, operating computers, desk phones, and fax/copy machines.
  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in office role (medical office preferred).
  • Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and insurance is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
