As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be immersed in a professional hospital environment that emphasizes patient-centered care. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you engage closely with patients. • Implement treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, adhering to established protocols while providing excellent patient care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations and insights provided by physical therapists, as well as ensuring necessary authorizations from referring physicians.
• Conduct comprehensive chart reviews to assess and document patient progress, particularly focusing on physical therapists' evaluations and recommendations.
• Utilize various physical therapy modalities and interventions safely and effectively, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic procedures, including exercise regimens and manual techniques.
• Identify and communicate any patient care issues that may influence treatment outcomes, proactively collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize each patient's progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system according to facility standards and compliance regulations.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in care techniques and maintenance programs to facilitate safe and effective transitions to home or the next phase of care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries. This includes individuals seeking rehabilitation for sports injuries, post-operative care, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your compassionate and patient-centered approach will be essential in encouraging recovery and enhancing the quality of life for a diverse patient demographic.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Possession of a current and active California Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, with skills in exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, and knowledge of sports rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation processes to ensure seamless patient care and communication within the healthcare team.
