Job description

Student Assistant - Sports Medicine (Fall)
Job no: 493563
Work type: Student
Location: Norman

Pay Range: Targeted salary of $8.00 per hour based on education and experience

Work Schedule: Rotating Shift Schedule
Travel: May be required
Position Introduction:
Students working in the athletic training room:
  • Assist with practice and game coverage (including set-up, preventative taping and bracing, clean-up from practice),
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facilities,
  • Assist with the inventory of the facilities,
  • Assist the certified athletic trainers with the rehabilitation programs of student-athletes (including aquatic therapy).
  • Students will be trained in basic first aid and use of rehabilitation equipment and gain CPR certification.
  • Students will be expected to maintain confidentiality of facilities and services provided.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
