📍 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Apheresis
📌 Facility Location: 750 E Adams St, Syracuse, NY 13210
Shifts: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
📆 Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:

• Provide specialized nursing care in an Apheresis unit for both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Care for adult and pediatric patients requiring apheresis treatments
• Perform therapeutic apheresis procedures using Spectra Optia and Cellex systems
• Must have minimum 1 year of apheresis experience
• Strong IV insertion skills required
• Experience with AV fistulas and Vortex ports required
• No on-call requirement
EPIC experience preferred
• Must hold an active New York State RN license
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience within the last 2 years
• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of similar size, level, or trauma centers
• Perform patient assessments, monitor treatment responses, and provide patient education
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective care
• Excessive time off requests and fixed scheduling requests will not be approved
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills required for independent practice with minimal supervision
