JOB DESCRIPTION

The Lounge Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the hotel’s Great Room Bar lounge, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests. This role maintains the bar’s cleanliness, organization, and inventory while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet guests warmly, take drink and food orders, and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to established recipes and hotel standards.
  • Manage cash, credit card, and room charge transactions accurately.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, lounge, and service areas.
  • Restock bar inventory, including liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Assist with lounge setup and breakdown, ensuring readiness for each shift.
  • Provide food service in the lounge when applicable, coordinating with servers and kitchen staff.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year + bartending experience required.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate clearly with guests and fellow employees.
  • Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects for stocking and storage assistance.


HOURS

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year- any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
