Lounge Host Job Description

Position Overview:

The Lounge Host is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience for all guests as they arrive and ensuring smooth seating arrangements within the lounge. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. As the first point of contact, the Lounge Host sets the tone for a memorable guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting and Seating:

    • Welcome guests warmly as they enter the lounge, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.
    • Manage guest seating arrangements, taking reservations and walk-ins into consideration to optimize table flow and guest satisfaction.
    • Escort guests to their seats and ensure they are comfortable, providing menus and answering any immediate questions.
  2. Reservation Management:

    • Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to ensure efficient seating and turnover of tables.
    • Communicate with the lounge manager and servers regarding large parties or special requests to ensure all guest needs are met.
    • Assist with waitlists during busy periods, providing accurate wait times and keeping guests informed of their table status.
  3. Guest Relations:

    • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and care, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
    • Offer information about the lounge’s services, events, and menu offerings as needed.
