Job description

Join Us in Changing Lives

For more than 85 years, Help Group has been a leader in serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families with autism, learning differences, ADHD, developmental disabilities, and mental health needs. Through our network of specialized schools, mental health services, vocational training, residential programs, recreation, and community initiatives, we serve more than 25,000 individuals annually.

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, and relationship-driven leader to help shape the next chapter of our growth.

This is not a traditional admissions position.

While this position oversees Help Group's admissions strategy, it is not responsible for the day-to-day administration of the admissions process. Instead, the Director of Admissions & Strategic Partnerships leads strategic enrollment initiatives, cultivates strong relationships with school districts and community partners, identifies opportunities for growth, and collaborates with school leaders to expand access to Help Group's specialized educational programs.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible leadership role serves as Help Group's ambassador to school districts, SELPAs, educational consultants, advocates, and community organizations. The Director will strengthen referral networks, develop innovative enrollment strategies, enhance the experience of prospective and current families, and help position Help Group as the leading provider of specialized education in California.

This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and helping more children and families access life-changing educational programs.

What You'll Do

Lead Enrollment Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment strategy across Help Group's specialized schools.
  • Establish annual enrollment goals and monitor progress toward achieving them.
  • Analyze enrollment trends, referral patterns, demographic shifts, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with school leaders to maximize enrollment while ensuring appropriate student placement and program fit.

Build Strategic Partnerships

  • Serve as Help Group's primary liaison to school districts, SELPAs, Directors of Special Education, NPS placement teams, educational consultants, advocates, and community organizations.
  • Develop and strengthen referral relationships that generate sustainable enrollment growth.
  • Represent Help Group at conferences, professional meetings, and community events.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships that expand access to The Help Group's schools and services.

Drive Business Development & Organizational Growth

  • Identify opportunities for new school programs, specialized educational offerings, and geographic expansion.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging educational needs to recommend innovative program development.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-range growth strategies.
  • Work with Marketing and Communications to increase awareness of Help Group's schools and enhance community outreach.

Champion the Family Experience

  • Partner with school leaders to strengthen the experience of prospective and current families.
  • Develop strategies that improve parent engagement, student retention, and family referrals.
  • Analyze parent feedback and recommend initiatives that enhance satisfaction and reinforce Help Group's reputation for excellence.

Use Data to Drive Results

  • Develop executive dashboards that track enrollment, referral sources, retention, and campus capacity.
  • Forecast enrollment trends and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts and referral partnerships to support continuous improvement.
