Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Project Management Head of Grid Solutions FACTS & Storage-US, you lead a high-performing, agile Project Management team at the forefront of energy transformation. Your role involves a dynamic blend of strategic leadership, hands-on project oversight, cross-functional collaboration, and interaction with customers and partners. You are responsible for managing the FACTS and Storage Project Management portfolio through execution until handover to service. A critical part of your mandate is to foster and develop a high-performance execution team, ensuring operational excellence, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement across all phases of delivery in close alignment with the Execution Teams in Germany. You will empower your team to achieve ambitious goals, strengthen execution discipline, and drive efficiency without compromising quality or customer focus. You will drive synergies between the FACTS and Storage business, ensuring a unified go-to-market approach within a flat, efficient hierarchy. Your expertise in people management and organizational design is crucial for delivering innovative and customer-focused solutions while building a resilient execution organization that consistently meets and exceeds expectations.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead and inspire Project Management EPC Execution teams, ensuring clear reporting lines for maximum efficiency. Maintain a continuous alignment and co-operation with the Execution Teams in Germany (Off-shore Team)
  • Maintain a strong focus on both FACTS and Storage solutions and drive synergies between the operational elements, ensuring a unified go-to-market, tendering and execution approach. Engage directly with customers and stakeholders, representing the business and ensuring achievement of business and project targets.
  • You will leverage synergies with the HV business while ensuring the effective coordination of all key interfaces with central functions (e.g. Procurement, Engineering, E&C, Quality, and Project Controls) to drive efficiency, alignment across the project lifecycle
  • Oversee the integration from tendering early engagement and execution processes, ensuring seamless project delivery from bid stage through project completion, while ensuring compliance and governance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards
  • Balance commercial and operational priorities, ensuring business objectives are met without compromising quality, profitability, risk exposure or customer satisfaction
  • Own Project Management performance of the FACTS & Storage - North America portfolio of projects, ensuring profitability, risk management, and sustainable growth.
  • Analyze and optimize people allocation, with a keen understanding of staffing needs for key roles and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
  • Champion a flat hierarchy, promoting transparency, rapid decision-making, high team engagement and employee development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness with supply chain partners.
What You Bring
  • Proven leadership experience in Transmission and Distribution, FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems), and/or energy storage projects with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and delivery performance
  • Demonstrated success managing project execution teams, ideally within a flat organizational structure, ensuring seamless transition from bid stage through project completion.
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and hands-on experience working with or within a Project Management Office (PMO), with a focus on building up execution maturity and business performance
  • Excellent people's management skills, with a track record of effective team allocation, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive high-performance execution.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance tendering and execution priorities while maintaining operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and changing leadership abilities ensuring alignment across customers, partners, and internal functions.
