THE CUBE will present fast-paced, interactive entertainment to Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, further strengthening the city’s reputation as a premier destination for immersive, experience-driven attractions. The launch will be the third global venue for THE CUBE, and the first outside of the U.K. 

Role Description 

The Sales Manager cultivates an environment of empowerment and hospitality that creates memories for all generations by selling world class contracted event experiences.  

The Sales manager reports to the Venue General Manager while collaborating with our United Kingdom team and is responsible for driving event sales at the venue.     

These functions include but are not limited to managing third party property management platforms, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and exceeding established event revenue goals. They must display the ability to uphold The Cube standards and procedures, maximize financial performance, and build relationships within the venue based operational teams and in the local community to help grow The Cube Brand. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage sales teams schedule and venue coverage metrics.
  • Leverage sales metrics and trends to drive performance and to maximize profit.  
  • Maintain venue level property management systems. 
  • Partner with the Kitchen team for daily review of event orders. 
  • Review local sponsorship/donation requests for brand alignment.
  • Assist with event revenue forecasting and planning.
  • Participate in Venue Leadership team meetings.
  • Create strategies to generate new business using local market data.  
  • Establish relationships with Community Stake Holders.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to drive performance and standards. 

Skills 

Technical 

  • Prior experience as a Director of Sales or Sales Manager in a high volume ($2M+ annual event revenue) restaurant, hotel, or entertainment environment.
  • Overall knowledge of the local area businesses and existing client base.   
  • Relentless-but intentional-spirit of innovation. 
  • Prefer 3+ Years of B2B and/or B2C sales experience.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Excellent communication, time management, presentation and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to go above and beyond, demonstrating meaningful care in everything you do. 
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and overall self-awareness.  
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including manoeuvring up and down stairs.
