Position Overview

We are seeking a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, either entry‑level or experienced, to cover primarily Primary Care physicians. This opportunity promotes innovative products and is ideal for reps experienced in the industry or sales professionals looking to break into pharma. The role involves achieving territory sales goals, educating physicians, maintaining relationships, and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively promote and educate physicians on the use of our pharmaceutical products through one‑on‑one meetings and group presentations, company‑approved promotional speaker programs, and other means.
  • Work in the field each week, preparing presentations, making appointments, and generating reports.
  • Ensure high performance levels of call and field productivity, meet call‑plan expectations, and achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to APUS‑defined ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and promotional regulations.
  • Execute company‑approved product marketing plans and regional business plan activities.
  • Support targeted customers using company‑approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities as identified by Sales Management.
  • Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchises and co‑promotion alliance partners, and appropriately manage company equipment and promotional materials according to compliance guidelines.
  • Execute optimal territory sales strategy using annual territory business plans, regional business plans, and call activity reports.
  • Report and submit sales call activities, territory expenses, and written reports within deadlines defined by the Regional Sales Manager.
Organizational Context
  • The position is physician‑customer‑facing, reporting to a National Sales Manager.
  • Manages multiple pharmaceutical products and leads primary‑care and specialty relationships.
  • Balances territory and regional responsibilities while maintaining a solid level of sales performance.
  • Exhibits strong competency skills and demonstrates influence within the territory and region.
Qualifications (required)
  • Some sales experience or sales abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the industry.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, ownership approach, problem‑solving, analytical, business acumen.
  • Solid motivational and persuasion skills.
  • Team orientation.
  • Proven record of sustained high sales performance and achievement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
