Job description

The Solutions Designer carries out a variety of architectural assignments. This role provides services in the research, design, and development of automated material handling systems. The Solutions Designer collects and analyzes technical data from the customer to determine project requirements and problems to solve. The Solutions Designer designs a solution based on the customer parameters and prepares information regarding the concept, specifications, materials and equipment.
What you'll be handling
  • Analyze customer data to deeply understand customer requirements and problems to solve.
  • Creates the Material flow diagram and the Performance Line Diagram of the project.
  • Calculates the operator performance rates based on a MOST calculation (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique).
  • Coordinates the system patents-proof for the selected concept with the patent department.
  • Provides information to other departments for the simulation of the standard systems and the whole solution.
  • Utilizes and understands TGW Core Technologies CD, TGW Technical Application Bulletins, CAD drawings and exchanges this information with TGW associates and customers to understand basic material handling software functionality and ensures that the solution is feasible and compatible with TGW Software.
What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred - Minimum 2 years of material handling systems design experience
  • Ability to analyze and understand customer business processes (overall knowledge of intralogistics)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced abilities in Excel, MSWord, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge in AutoCAD and Python preferred
  • Willingness to travel domestically (less than 10%) and internationally (once per year about 1-2 weeks) for training and customer support
