Job Summary:
TGW Logistics is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers in the development of Warehouse Control Systems and related solutions. The role involves managing day-to-day activities, ensuring project quality, and participating in product architecture discussions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manages the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of all work performed.
โ€ข Manages strategies and processes for custom software features and functions, assuring projects attain TGW quality standards.
โ€ข Actively participates with corporate development organization to drive product architecture and application feature sets.
โ€ข Performs administrative managerial duties including recruitment, performance management, and compensation management tasks.
โ€ข Develops and implements effective training programs for new and existing staff, and manages project- and product-specific training.
โ€ข Interacts directly with software project managers and project leads for all aspects of software delivery including build, testing, training, acceptance, issue management, and delivery scheduling.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
โ€ข Minimum of five (5) years of experience delivering software solutions, preferably in a material handling environment.
โ€ข Proven ability to lead engineering resources to complete project tasks.
โ€ข Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of Agile methods and practice.
โ€ข Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
